Talk about girl power! Y108 held its first-ever Girls with Guitars event in the West Club Lounge at Heinz Field, bringing 1,300 people to hear five phenomenal country artists perform in a smaller setting. Kellie Pickler, Sara Evans, Danielle Bradbery, Sarah Marince, and Sheryl Crow rocked out their biggest hits! Michael Spacciapolli, vice president and director of sales at CBS Radio Pittsburgh, says the inaugural event was phenomenal. “The artists were all fantastic,” says Spacciapolli. “This was a special opportunity for Y108 to reward its tremendous, loyal listener base with a free show in a very intimate setting at Heinz Field.” The audience members won their seats through various promotions, but the event raised money throughout the night for Glimmer of Hope and young women’s breast cancer research. Breast cancer survivor and nine-time Grammy Award-winning artist Sheryl Crow enjoyed the close relationship between the artists and with the audience. “It was so much fun being a part of the talented lineup at the Girls with Guitars event in Pittsburgh,” says Crow. “It’s special to be up close and personal with the audience like that, especially when they sing all your songs back to you.”
