From their first date to their first dance, Emily Mallit and Michael Kryger’s relationship has been filled with romance. In a thoroughly modern meet-cute, the two connected on JDate before falling head over heels for each other. The proposal, a whimsical surprise in the rented-out Broderie Room of Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, set the tone for a fairytale wedding. Dressed in Belle’s gown from the Alfred Angelo Disney Fairytale Weddings Collection, Emily was surrounded by her six bridesmaids, all in Cinderella blue. Colorful balloons and white and blue hydrangeas, roses, dendrobium, and baby’s breath helped to create the overall theme of the wedding: a nod to the couple’s first movie, “Up.” Personalized touches paid tribute to the film, from the cartoonish cake topper to the first dance in the clouds to the song, “Married Life,” the movie’s theme song. Even more personal were Emily and Michael’s vows, a highlight of the day for the couple and their guests.
