Want to Dance for Your Favorite Charity? Here’s How!

Put on your dancing shoes, Pittsburgh!

Beginning Monday, February 2 — and every weekday throughout February — WHIRL and CBS Radio are asking members of the Pittsburgh community to “Get UP & Dance!” at 3 p.m. each day, while dedicating a song of choice to a favorite local charity or nonprofit organization.

Sponsored by Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC and Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, this inaugural lifestyle event is driven by Pittsburgh’s impressive commitment to healthy living. As the midpoint in an average 8 a.m.-10 p.m. day, 3 p.m. is typically the point in which we begin to falter, both mentally and physically. To combat this, Get UP & Dance! strives to energize the community with movement, laughter, and the intention of drawing awareness to the city’s benevolent local organizations.

We are kicking off the campaign here with our very first video, filmed and produced by Parish Digital Video Productions.

I will be set up at the Monroeville Convention Center 2/6 through 2/8 with my AVON fundraiser honoring the nurses and caregivers at Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh. We will be dancing at 3 PM and would love to have you join us. All proceeds from the bouquets are going to Make-A-Wish and Children’s Tumor Foundation. Please call or email me with any questions.
