NFBD, Founder & CEO; Social Innovator
Favorite things to do and places to go in Pittsburgh: I really enjoy what I do. For a couple years, I had to work jobs I hated to get to this point, but now I can honestly say I love my job. My days consist of figuring out creative ways to solve real world issues. I’m an active participant in coming up with solutions to all the things that frustrate me. How cool is that? I’m doing something that’s fulfilling and always gives me something to look forward to. Getting involved in the startup scene — I’m a part of the Ascender incubator — in Pittsburgh was one of the best things to happen to me. Outside of the office, I really like to go walk around the city. I go Downtown a lot with my headphones in and that’s when I do my best thinking and come up with my best ideas. Pittsburgh’s a cool city. I try and explore as much of it as I can. Favorite people to go with: I love to be alone. Some people are going to read this and think, ‘Wow Jordon, you are a loser,’ but this is something I actually take pride in. I have amazing friends and family around me, but there’s a beauty to loneliness that’s allowed me to get to know myself really well and allow all of my ideas to flourish. Oh yeah, follow NFBD’s Instagram @NFBDmovement.

Favorite things to do and places to go in Pittsburgh:
I spend a lot of time in the kitchen cooking ever since I took a break from the tech industry, operating under YAZ Ltd. I’ve fallen in love with the Pittsburgh foodie scene. I have been exploring new recipes for retail expansion with Pizza & Pasta Villa and our new fine addition, Italian Rustic Kitchen, which will be the first virtually launched restaurant on UberEats this summer in Pittsburgh! In my free time, I am usually out in Robinson, visiting my parents and my newborn niece, and working out at Planet Fitness in Mt. Lebanon, where I went to high school. Schenley Park is my sacred haven. A long windy jog on trails reminiscing about my University of Pittsburgh college days and knowing there are very little exams ahead in life makes it a bonus. I religiously treat myself to sushi and sashimi for lunch on Mondays at No. 1 Sushi Sushi in Market Square, along with their baby octopus and seaweed salad. I live on East Carson Street in the South Side, which has it perks. I’m usually out for Tuesday night trivia at Twelve Whiskey BBQ. On the weekends, you can find me at SEVEN, Social House 7, Cavo, or Cake.

NOAH’S Event Venue of Cranberry & SouthPointe, Event Coordinator
Favorite things to do and places to go in Pittsburgh: When I’m not planning events at NOAH’S Event Venue, you can catch me brunching in the city with my friends from grad school, or out and about with a local photographer working on personal content and collaborating with content creators in the city. Being from Myrtle Beach, S.C., I normally spend my free time reading, working out, and hanging out with friends on the beach, but since my move to Pittsburgh, you can usually find me kayaking on the river, shopping local in the Strip District, or on a boat on Cheat Lake in Morgantown, W.V. (where my in-laws live). I love being in a city where it’s just enough “city” to explore, yet suburban enough to make me feel like I’m not too far away from home. I’m a self-proclaimed foodie, so I’m always looking and trying out new restaurants, coffee shops, and local eateries.
Favorite people to go with: When I was in grad school at Duquesne University, I was in a cohort of 13 other people who I studied with year-round. Favorite things to do and places to go in Pittsburgh: I love Pittsburgh. I grew up and live in Beaver County, but I often spend weekends in the city with my husband. Whether it’s going to Construction Junction to look for unique elements for our home, visiting the Artist & Craftsman Supply shop for new sketching materials, or going to the Andy Warhol Museum to see our favorite pieces and enjoy the cafe, we always find something fun to do. Pittsburgh is extremely accessible, and because of that, I am able to continue to explore the city I love.
Favorite people to go with: I love coming to Pittsburgh with my husband and family.
Hippy at Heart Clothing, Owner & Creative Director; Imagen Brands, Regional Sales Manager
Favorite things to do and places to go in Pittsburgh: When I’m in the city, I like to go to Gaucho Parrilla Argentina and Condado Tacos to eat. I go to as many networking events as possible, such as Creatives Drink. I’m not around as much since I moved recently, so I try to use my time wisely and work on my clothing line when I’m here. Typically, it’s for a long weekend, including photoshoots, or linking up with other people I’m collaborating with. You might see me on South Side with my jawns, too.
Favorite people to go with: I’ve got a solid group of friends I went to Point Park University with and my crew from back home that I normally end up with. Good vibes only.
