More than 1,700 attendees excitedly arrived to Carnegie Music Hall to support ovarian cancer research and enjoy a night of comedy, featuring legendary comedian Bill Cosby — who comfortably donned a Pitt sweatshirt during his performance. A whopping $340,000 was raised for the Magee-Womens Research Institute! During a reception prior to the show, co-chair Julie McMullen shared her touching story about her experience with ovarian cancer. Guests enjoyed cocktails, good eats and sweets, and bid on an extensive list of silent auctions items — including his and hers Prada sunglasses, club seats for local sporting events, and an oceanfront penthouse stay for eight in Cabo San Lucas, not to mention private golf lessons, autographed memorabilia, and beer for a year. The night closed with a standing ovation for cancer research supporter Cosby, and a lot of laughs! —Andrea Bosco
