As the owner of Roxanne’s Catering and Event Planning, Roxanne Easley carried out her wedding plans with a thoughtful, creative approach. “I wanted to do things that were unique,” Roxanne says. “It was the most amazing day of our lives.” Starting at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, the couple exchanged traditional vows and participated in a unity sand ceremony with their children. Each member of the family poured a different color of sand into a glass vase to symbolize their new union. Their children also joined the newlyweds for a fun first dance, choreographed by the bride’s aunt. Nearly 300 family members and friends came together for the celebration, taking in the elegant reception at Rodef Shalom Congregation and savoring the delicious dinner menu created by Roxanne’s Catering and Event Planning. (Teriyaki salmon, mango salsa chicken, and honey-glazed ham — yum!) From the handmade programs that doubled as fans, to the edible menus at each place setting, the bride ensured every element was accounted for and executed flawlessly. “My staff and I worked for two years on this wedding, putting every single detail together,” Roxanne says. “Because I’m a small business, I wanted to work with and incorporate other companies like mine to show small businesses can do big things. Everyone came together, and it was a magical day.”

He knew her mother and she knew his father, but Roxanne and Jason didn’t meet until a dating app matched them. “God has a time and place for everything.”

“I put it on and fell in love,” Roxanne says of her layered, princess-worthy ballgown. “I wore it for an hour at the store.

After dinner, a dessert reception offered seven different treats and this three-tiered white almond cake.

Blue uplighting, crystal chandeliers and candelabras, and dozens of votive candles set the mood for the elegant reception.
