“A day of fun, a day of celebration, a day that makes a difference.” Despite the unforgiving rain, the show went on, as Family House Polo attendees “traded their riding boots for rubber boots,” says Executive Director Christie Knott. “Mother Nature was not kind, but we could not be happier.” This year, more than 600 guests attended the 29th annual event at Hartwood Acres, which raised more than $300,000. The night before, guests gathered at the Fox Chapel Golf Club for the Polo Pre-Party. “All of the proceeds keep our houses homes. We met all of our financial goals, and had new sponsors and a number of new patrons. Family House counts on this event the following 365 days. That’s the special part of this — it makes a difference!” —Andrea Bosco
