According to the Chinese New Year, it’s the year of the monkey, so there’s no better time than now to plan your bridal shower or bachelorette party at Paint Monkey! Enjoy drinks and snacks with your friends while you create a masterpiece that you can keep forever without breaking your budget. For those who worry that their painting skills are sub-par or they can’t keep up, Paint Monkey has a solution. “We hand-sketch every canvas so when you come in to paint with us, the anxiety is taken away and you’re able to be more social,” says Joe Groom, co-owner. Paint Monkey takes a gentler approach that enables people of all ages to enjoy the party. “Many times with bridal parties or showers, there are grandmothers and children since it’s a very social time. Sometimes they don’t keep up or they’re a little fast, but having the sketch on the canvas is key to ensuring that all have a good time,” says Groom. The cost is $35 per person for a two-hour painting session and $45 for a three-hour painting session, and is not limited to just canvases! Co-owner Mary Lou Bradley suggests bridal parties paint pre-sketched canvas tote bags for a coordinated way to carry all of the wedding day essentials.
