Ashley Miller met Joey Haynos out on the dance floor, thanks to an introduction from her friend. And he didn’t waste any time! “Joey asked for my phone number at the bar and called me the next afternoon,” says Ashley. “We have been together ever since.” While celebrating their three-year anniversary, the couple enjoyed dinner in Washington, D.C., and a surprise limo ride. “After glasses of Champagne and driving around the Washington monuments, Joey reached into his coat pocket and popped the question,” says Ashley. “I was completely surprised and could not have been happier.” Their wedding dreams came true with a beautiful summer wedding in Pittsburgh. Hues of navy, blush, and gold gave a sophisticated feel to the Saint Mary of the Mount ceremony and Pittsburgh Athletic Club reception. Ashley turned heads in a Justin Alexander ballgown, featuring lace throughout the v-neck bodice and skirt, and on the coordinating cathedral-length veil. “I added a crystal belt to the dress for a pop of sparkle,” says Ashley. All 175 guests had their eyes on both the bride and groom during their first dance to Van Morrison’s “Tupelo Honey.” Ashley used her dance background to choreograph the steps for the big moment. “My husband was nervous, but we danced perfectly,” she says. “When we did a lift and dip at the end, the crowd went wild.”

The night ended with some fun at the Pittsburgh Athletic Club’s bowling alley. “Everyone had a blast and loved that the party didn’t end with the reception.”
