The couple met through a mutual friend in 2012, but their busy lives and careers kept them from pursuing a relationship until they were reintroduced by the same friend in 2015. “We were both excited at the prospect and began texting furiously for a few weeks before we went on out first date that March,” says Heather.

Instead of a traditional bridal party, the couple had their siblings at their sides during the ceremony. “Jason has one brother, and I have two,” says Heather. “So, I affectionately referred to mine as my ‘bro-maids’”

“My favorite memory was our first dance to Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Songbird,’” says Heather. “I loved standing on a balcony and having our guests on the balcony across the room watching us.”

“The Omni has intricate gold detailing in their architecture, coupled with warm wood-paneled walls, a beautiful chandelier, and candle lighting that really helped add to our theme,” Heather says.

Heather fell for a gorgeous, strapless Maggie Sottero gown with lace details and glittering enhancements.

Lace details and gold jewels on the chocolate cake with espresso icing were a nod to the bride’s dress, while cascading flowers were airbrushed in blush and marsala to complement the color scheme.
