Two years after being introduced as bandmates, and six months after the transition from “bandmates” to “dating,” Eddie Wiernik took Gabrielle Senn on a tour of Pittsburgh, ending with a horse-and-carriage ride to Point State Park. “I went to take a picture of the skyline,” Gabrielle remembers, “and when I turned around, Eddie was on one knee with the most gorgeous yellow diamond engagement ring.” The ring itself was as much a surprise as the proposal, a near replica of the fake one Gabrielle wore as a little girl. “I used to say to my friends that when I got engaged, that was the exact ring I would want,” she says. “Eddie had no idea about this story. When looking for rings, he had felt so strongly about getting me a unique ring.” The diamond inspired the theme of the entire wedding, held at the Montelucia Resort in Paradise Valley, Ariz. Her bridesmaids wore matching shades of vivid buttercup and held white calla lilies wrapped in yellow ribbon, while Gabrielle carried yellow and white freesia roses.

“We thought instead of preserving my dress, it would be cool to have some pictures of he and I dressed up on our families’ dirt bikes, spraying each other with dirt and mud puddles in Pittsburgh,” Gabrielle explained of the dress’s messy future.

Gabrielle and Eddie, both musicians, recorded their own version of Meghan Trainor and John Legend’s “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” for their first dance.

Eddie’s parents gifted the couple a custom bobblehead cake topper to crown their pink champagne cake with chocolate mousse filling and buttercream frosting. “The perfect topping for a perfect cake.”
