Mediterra Bakehouse has expanded its delicious offerings, and is proud to unveil a separate location for the Mediterra Cakehouse, located right next to the bakery’s current space on Parkway View Drive. “It’s exciting because we now have a warehouse dedicated to pastry!” says Mediterra Office Manager Nicole Ambeliotis. Pastry Chef Aundrea Ambeliotis is staying on top of wedding day dessert trends, including extravagant treat tables topped with tons of miniature-sized desserts, including meringues, French macarons, cake pops, brownies, cookies, and cupcakes. Also tempting tastebuds are nostalgic sweets, such as mini apple pie pops, pie in a jar, chocolate chip cookies, and homemade pop tarts. Another sweet trend? Naked cakes. Free of exterior icing, the decadent layers and colorful filling are put on full, delicious display. Says Ambeliotis, “The dessert world has been expanding rapidly!” We can’t wait to try it all!
