Former members of Emory University’s swim team, Jacqueline Schneider and Darrell Eacret let their friendship grow for months before committing to a romantic relationship. While visiting his family in Lake Tahoe for Christmas a few years later, the couple ventured to the lake for a snowy, picturesque walk. When they arrived at Logan Shoal’s Vista Point, Darrell proposed! For their special day, the couple wanted to incorporate the same magic and excitement of the Christmas season with a classic, yet uniquely elegant, feel. Jacqueline chose sentimental accessories for the day, including a garter handmade by one of her aunts that featured lace and pearls from her mother’s and grandmother’s wedding dresses, as well as a flower made from the blue gown her aunt wore as the maid of honor in her mother’s wedding. During Jacqueline’s long walk down the aisle of St. Paul Cathedral to Darrell, she passed many emotional family members and close friends, filling her with emotion as she thought of her new life with Darrell. The groom says that was his favorite moment of the day. The couple celebrated with a LeMont Restaurant reception that overlooked the Pittsburgh skyline. Jacqueline says, “We did our best to not sweat the small stuff, while still coordinating and planning the things we wanted to make our day uniquely ours.”
