Jessica Coon can usually predict a surprise before it’s executed. Except her proposal from Andrew Lambe — “I had absolutely no clue,” Jessica says. “He kept it so low key with a normal dinner, then gave me a ring when we got home. I was totally surprised!” One thing that always shocks us is the weather in Pittsburgh. Even the couple’s sunny, April wedding day had an unseasonal chill in the air. “We were thinking that we’d have to take photos inside somewhere, but it was so pretty outside,” Jessica explains. “Our photographer kept saying how perfect the lighting was and how beautiful the trees looked, so I’m glad we stuck it out.” In the moments between their Heinz Chapel ceremony and LeMont Restaurant reception, the newlyweds posed in their favorite places in Oakland. The pink blossoms behind them complemented Jessica’s soft, romantic bouquet from Mt. Lebanon Floral, and reflected the warm love between her and Andrew. “Even though it was freezing, it was such a nice day,” Jessica says. “We were very cold but very happy.”
