More than 200 friends of the Thelma Lovette and Centre Avenue YMCAs came together at the Marriott City Center for the fifth annual Hill of Hope Gala. With the theme of “A Milestone in Our Mission,” the gala honored the Rev. Glenn G. Grayson for his ministry, The Center That C.A.R.E.S., that works to decrease gun violence in Pittsburgh. Honorary event co-chairs Phil and Sandra Hundley led the event, which raised $46,500. “Everything from the cocktail hour to the program to the dinner was well done,” says Terri Baltimore, an attendee. “The program structure — giving the awards first — allowed the guests to enjoy dinner and the company of their tablemates. They really know how to throw a party!”
