fan of the hit TV show “Friends,” Danielle Dortenzo admired Phoebe and Mike’s winter wedding. And when her own Mike (Michael Poremba) proposed in the wintertime, Danielle says the wintery theme just made sense! To do so, the couple stuck to a snow white and cool blue color scheme. Danielle walked down the aisle of St. John the Baptist Church in a beautiful lace gown with a sheer neckline. “I think for both of us, the best moment of our wedding was our ceremony,” Danielle says. “Walking down the aisle for me was so emotional. Having my Dad on my arm and seeing Mike down the aisle, with my favorite music playing, was just perfect.” Danielle and Michael used pinecones and pine branches, live fig trees, and sparkling strings of lights to bring their winter wonderland vision to life at the Fox Chapel Golf Club reception. Guests stayed warm by grabbing a mug from the hot chocolate bar — complete with marshmallows, chocolate-coated spoons, and peppermint rock candy sticks — or the tea station, with brews served alongside lemon lollipops and clover honey.

Berries and pinecones were mixed into Danielle’s bouquet for more rustic flair.

The hardest part of dressing this dapper group? “Finding the right tux!”

“You and I” by Michael Bublé played for Danielle and Michael’s first dance, immediately followed by their favorite dance song: “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars.

Prantl’s Bakery created the ombré Burnt Almond Torte by adding more sugared almond slices to each subsequent tier.
