The Education Partnership has earned an A+ reputation for the dedication it has shown to the schools that comprise our region, and its recent event served as a celebration of the services it provides through six counties: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Washington, and Westmoreland. In 2012, the organization provided 6,200 students and 620 teachers with fresh school supplies — and, the mixer meant more giving! The evening, honoring the Partnership’s new advisory board, also welcomed teachers to take part in its second school supply distribution of 2013.“Our open house spread awareness of our mission and hopefully attracted new emerging leaders to take part,” says Katherine Harrell, communications and programming director. “Through our work, we jump-start dreams. The children know the communities care about them and that makes a difference.”
