Less than a week before Valentine’s Day, Amie Guarino and Tim Pitschke celebrated their love for one another at the Duquesne Club. Deep red roses, crystal accents, and black lace elements — including the bride’s gown! — added to the romantic, intimate occasion. “We had 150 guests,” says Amie, “which might seem big, but it truly was our closest friends and family.” Family played a major role in the day, as the bride’s brother, Lou Guarino, got ordained online so he could officiate the ceremony. Incorporating his own sense of humor, as well as personal touches, made the service even more meaningful to the couple. The newlyweds kicked off the reception by dancing to “You’re the Inspiration” by Chicago. Amie and her father wowed on the dance floor, too. “We did a waltz to the theme from ‘The Godfather,’ then the record scratched and it went into ’24K Magic’ by Bruno Mars,” Amie says. “We’re a really big Italian family, so the crowd went nuts!” The crowd joined in, dancing to DJ Petey C. throughout the evening and capping off a day that truly reflected the couple’s vision. “Our wedding wasn’t super traditional,” Amie says. “It was more like, ‘Come to dinner! There will be dancing and drinks, and we just happen to be getting married, too.’”

“Brides, you can do whatever you want. It’s your day,” Amie says. “It was awesome wearing black!”

“We couldn’t find a wedding band that went with my marquise-cut engagement ring, so I did a diamond tennis bracelet instead,” says Amie.

“The atmosphere of the Duquesne Club lent itself to the glamorous theme and the dramatic tones,” Amie says. “We knew what we wanted, but it was still beyond our expectations.”

Amie and Tim’s son, Trey, joined in the joyous day.
