Debbie Harden stands behind the counter at the chic and polished Premier Boutique, wearing jeans with a glistening, gorgeous belt and her trademark cowboy boots. It’s clear “experience comfortable elegance” is not only the boutique’s tagline, but also Harden’s outlook on her personal style. The self-proclaimed “country girl” says she centers her wardrobe around her two passions: fashion and alpacas. In addition to the boutique, Harden owns and operates a farm, West Penn Alpacas, and the livestock auction company Silver Penn Sales. “My Western wardrobe fits right in with both of my careers,” Harden says. Her work with alpacas hugely impacts how she buys for the boutique. While visiting alpaca auctions and shows all across the country, Harden finds accessories and fashions which she brings back to the Pittsburgh area. Naturally, one of the store’s largest offerings is alpaca apparel. The fleece is perfect for keeping us warm in these winter months without making us itchy. A win-win for fashionistas in freezing weather and for Harden, too! “I love featuring the alpaca line in the boutique,” she says. “It gives me an opportunity to present the fabulous fleece to the public, harvested from the animals I love to raise.”
“Very relaxed with a country flare.”
“Faith Hill. She’s stylish, but can rock a pair of cowboy boots.”
“RYU and Adriano Goldschmied. I love AG jeans!”
“Coobie Tank camis and cowboy boots.”
