World Environment Day 2010: Pittsburgh
This month, the worlds’ eyes will once again turn to Pittsburgh — and this time they’ll see green. Pittsburgh is the United Nation’s 2010 World Environmental Day North American host city, meant to give a face to environmental issues, inspire people to become active in their environments, promote green understanding and advocate partnerships that will create a brighter and environmentally friendly future.
A Toast to Your Health
More than 670 guests raised their glasses in tribute to friends, fine wine, and mouth-watering cuisine at the Heritage Valley Health System’s A Toast To Your Health celebration. The event featured 20 local restaurants and 24 wineries and distributors offering their finest food with wine pairings. Featured vendors included Penn Brewery, Naked Grape, China Palace, Christian W. Klay Winery, and Shakespeare’s Restaurant and Pub.
A Night at the Museum
Mt. Lebanon Junior Women’s Club held its 13th annual charity event, A Night at the Museum, to benefit Angel’s Place, Inc., at the Senator John Heinz History Center.
