Allegheny Conference presented its new agenda for “Sustainable Prosperity” at its annual meeting, held at Fairmont Pittsburgh. Regional investors gathered to discuss enhancing opportunities, strengthening communities, and energizing tomorrow’s economy. Together with VisitPittsburgh, in 2012, AC showcased our region as a “best of the world” destination. And, the city welcomed four major conferences, including One Young World. Today, the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance has 150 projects, which is 60 more than usual. “Although the unemployment rate has edged up, interest in our region among business decision makers remains strong,” says Allegheny Conference CEO Dennis Yablonsky. “We have a strong foundation in place to tackle these challenges and we have the tools we need. Now we need to secure the will to step up and create change. By doing so, we can assure sustainable prosperity for our region.”
