The Bob Prince Tent of the Circus Saints and Sinners Club honored KDKA’s Larry Richert as its 2012 Man of the Year! More than 200 guests paid tribute to Richert’s career accomplishments and charitable support, including Pittsburgh Celebrity Hockey, American Cancer Society, and Autism Speaks. Bob Prince Tent President Eric Saks provided the opening remarks, and Bill Hillgrove served as Master of Ceremonies. Richert, a NewsRadio 1020 KDKA co-host, was roasted and toasted by Marty Griffin, Marty Lazzaro, Fr. Joseph McCaffrey, John Mowod, Louis Ruscitto, John Seretti, and John Shumway. “The evening was well-attended and full of laughs — a lot of good, personal stories,” says Saks. The event raised tens of thousands for the Marcus L. Ruscitto Charitable Foundation, the Dan Marino Foundation, and others.
